Volunteer

We are now a volunteer-run non-profit.  This allows us to use a higher percentage of our donations to help our senior citizens.

One way volunteers can help is with the Telephone Assurance Program. It is designed to provide security, alleviate loneliness, reduce isolation, avoid victimization, and prevent premature entry into nursing homes for our senior citizens.  Feelings of loneliness can have health consequences among the elderly.  This problem is prevalent among America’s older population and can have detrimental effects on mental, emotional, and physical health.

Another way you can help is by providing transportation to doctors appointments, based on your availability and schedule.

AARP magazine stated that “almost 90 percent of Americans 65 or older plan to stay in their homes as they age.”  It is our mission to assist these senior citizens—our family and neighbors—to remain in their homes.

To do this we must work as a community of volunteers helping our elderly neighbors.  You can make a difference!
